About the Disabled Surfing AssociationThe Disabled Surfers Association of Australia Inc. started in 1986 after surfer Gary Blashke suffered a motorcycle accident and realised how difficult beach and water access can be for those with a disability. The DSA caters for all those with a disability that are willing to have a fun day at the beach and try disabled surfing. All members are volunteers and trained in worlds best practice procedures for a safe and fun surfing experience. This requires the use of special equipment such as soft longboards, bean bags on top of boards for extra comfort and safety and beach buggy wheelchairs.
How to Donate directly to DSAMP
All donations over $2 are Tax Deductible and receipts will be issued. You can donate at the Ride the wild Surf day at Shoreham on April 1st 2017. The Disabled Surfing Association Bank Details are below : BSB 633 000 Account 144 582 889 |

DSA Ocean Grove events are held at the Ocean Grove Main Beach. The disabled facilities are excellent as well as fantastic wheelchair access to the beach. We try to hold the events in February and March when the water is a little warmer. All who attend our events, like at any other branch have a wonderful day and get to meet some inspiring people. Checkout the webpage with this link for more details.
